for daddy

I post these pictures with a heavy heart...this session was a tearjerker and I can't even imagine the complexity of emotion for the family. The dad is leaving tomorrow for Iraq. I wanted to quickly post just a few for them to see before he embarks on a year long journey.

I love props

who doesn't love lollipops and giant umbrellas? This 3 yr old was so busy playing and dancing, she didn't even know I was there - which, is utlimatly always my goal. My biggest compliment, aside from people falling in love with the portraits, are when moms say, "this was easy" and this little gem made this session a dream!

Book Worm

I took these pictures back in May at one of the few home games. His mom was interested in just a few actions shots and we decided to turn them into a book. Here's a few pics of the pages...not to many, I don't want to ruin the anticipation and the surprise. I really enjoyed seeing the dynamics of the game from a photographers point of view as opposed to a spectator. Always love doing something different...

sweet and sassy

I’ve had so many fun sessions that I need to catch up on - August must be the time for one year olds since I've had 5 this month. I’ve been photographing this little princess for the past year, and it's simply amazing how much they change in that short of time! What a beauty!

Bright Day

3 and twins, what could be more fun? These two keep me on my toes - too many smiles, I didn't want to miss a thing!

I thought this picture was priceless - it's a perfect picture that will make ANYONE smile! Thanks again Jenny, I hope they were worth the wait. ;)

Senior Season

Two seniors in one week, what a WONDERFUL change of pace! It was great getting to know you M and best of luck this year.

the A team

This family is so adventurous! It was not a photo session but more of an exploration with a few pictures worked in. They found a red mushroom, the BIGGEST spider I've EVER seen outside of a cage, smelled flowers, sat on fence posts and observed a coy pond. Thanks guys for making my Friday night so eventful! :)

I knew when I took this picture that I was going to be in love...these girls were so fun. Don't worry, they are not all this serious. I'll post some smiles later on in the week. But for now, here's a few stoic stances to coincide with the first one.

Entourage

This Senior to be didn't let his entourage consisting his parents, aunt, cousin, friend, dog and photographer (and a swarm of mosquito's) slow down his good looking smile.
